SYSTÈME FIBREBAL
Designed for large units and for GVs with high headroom, very high working loads in tension can be applied thanks to HS fibres, and very low friction in compression is obtained during manoeuvres thanks to Torlon balls.
Each batten is connected to a batten carriage by a toggle joint with a threaded spigot that allows the batten to be freely oriented. This spigot is screwed onto a housing for round or flat battens. Between each batten, an intermediate carriage is used to secure the luff.
A head plate strapped to the top of the sail and connected to a head plate carriage (double) by a removable pin ensures a safe and simple connection of the sail to the halyard and mast.
