STANDARD WINCHES WITHOUT SELF-TAILING - ANTAL
The range of standard winches designed by ANTAL is divided into 2 series depending on the size of your boat
The first series (W6, W7 and W8) for boats up to 6 to 7 metres, has 1 direct gear. Turn the crank clockwise to engage the gear. The crank turns freely in the opposite direction. The W6 is the smallest and lightest in resin. The W7 has a hard-anodised black aluminium headstock, while the W8 is made of AISI 316 stainless steel with a base and headstock in black anodised aluminium mounted on roller bearings. It is also available in a chrome-plated version.
The second series (W16 and W32), for boats up to 10 metres, has 2 speeds. The first is direct and the second is reduced, i.e. slower but more powerful. The base and gears are made of bronze, and the central shaft and bearings of AISI 316 stainless steel. The headstocks are available in black anodised aluminium or chrome-plated.
Refer to the selection guide to choose the right size. Please note that this guide is intended for monohulls and is only an indication. Ask a professional to make the right choice.
XT CLASSIC WINCHES WITH AUTOMATIC SELF-TAILING-ANTAL
This series is available with several speed modes depending on size.
- The XT16 and XT30 are at 1 low speed, so the ratio is slow but powerful in a clockwise direction. The winch turns freely in the opposite direction.
- The XT16.2 and XT30.2 have an extra direct gear for faster tacking speed, which combined with its lighter weight and automatic self-tailing for small ropes, makes this model an ideal choice for regattas.
- The XT40, 44, 48, 52, 62, 66 and 76 have 2 reduced speeds. The first gear gives you fast, powerful draft. When the load increases, simply reverse the direction of rotation to engage the second gear and get more power. - The XT62.3, 66.3 and 76.3 have 3 reduced speeds. The first speed, the fastest, is engaged using the pushbutton mounted on the baseplate. The other 2 speeds are engaged automatically by reversing the direction of rotation.
