For years, the Allen development team focused on designing a safer trapeze system that reduces entrapment risks associated with traditional hook-on trapeze harnesses. Working alongside designer Julian Bethwaite, who had developed a prototype Keyball concept, Allen and Bethwaite Design collaborated to create this innovative, hook-free trapeze solution.

The Allen Keyball system eliminates the traditional metal hook entirely, replacing it with a molded plastic socket. Key safety benefits include:
