20mm Single Multi Function Block — The Modular Core of the Dynamic Range

The A2021 is our 20mm multi function block — the versatile foundation of the Dynamic range. Featuring a specially designed multi function strap, it serves as the base block for a wide family of configurations, from single blocks to complex double and triple assemblies.

Multi Function Head

The A2021's head is engineered to accept our full range of adaptors — swivel, fork and cheek — making it the most adaptable block in the 20mm range. It is also used for riveting to double and triple Ultra-Straps, enabling seamless integration across the Dynamic block family.

Base Block for Multiple Variants

The A2021 is the foundation for the following variations: A2021F (fork), A2021HK (hook), A2021SC (swivel cheek), as well as all double and triple block configurations in the range.

Dynamic Bearing System

Like all Dynamic blocks, the A2021 features our patented twin-row stainless-steel ball bearing system running on a stainless-steel rail — delivering superior load-carrying capacity and exceptional longevity compared to plastic-rail bearing systems.

The large central rivet reduces overall block weight while providing a smooth, rope-friendly attachment point — ideal as a tie-off in cascade systems.

What is the difference between the A2021 multi function strap and the standard A2020 strap?

The A2021 uses a specially designed multi function strap with a modified head geometry. Unlike the standard A2020 strap — which is optimised purely for single-block use — the A2021 head is machined to accept swivel, fork and cheek adaptors, and is also structured to be riveted directly onto double and triple Ultra-Straps. This makes it the universal base component across the entire Dynamic 20mm block family.

Which adaptors are compatible with the A2021 multi function head?

The A2021 multi function head is designed to work with three adaptors from our range: the swivel adaptor (for rotating attachment), the fork adaptor (for fixed pin attachment to a spar or fitting), and the cheek adaptor (for side-mounted configurations). These adaptors give the A2021 exceptional versatility across different rigging setups without requiring a different base block.

Can the A2021 be upgraded from a single block to a double or triple configuration?

Yes — this is one of the key advantages of the A2021. Because it is the base block for all double and triple Dynamic configurations, the same block sheave and bearing assembly is used across the range. When riveted onto a double or triple Ultra-Strap, the A2021 becomes the building block of a multi-sheave purchase system, offering a scalable and consistent performance platform for more complex rigging applications.
