2025 UPDATE

Since 2025, Allen made updates to our aluminium cam cleats to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. The Allen aluminium ball-bearing cam cleats now feature dark grey bases and caps, giving them a modern and sleek appearance. Combined with the updated colour options for our cam cleat accessories, these changes create a cohesive and stylish look.

In addition, we’ve adjusted the strength of the jaw springs. This subtle change improves the feel of the cam cleats, making it easier to “drop” lines into the cams, especially when under lighter loads. The result is smoother and more manageable line control, perfect for light wind conditions.

Features

The jaw profile is optimised for rope entry and exit reducing wear on rope. Ball bearings and double coil springs gives a super smooth cam action, allowing for a consistent feel every time the rope is cleated.

Our Aluminium ball bearing cam cleats feature die-cast aluminium jaws and a base, resulting in a higher working load and a more durable finish than the Allenite version.

The aluminium cam cleat also features two rows of ball bearings, giving the jaws a super smooth rotation when opening and closing, resulting in an easier-to-use cam cleat.

These design features make the aluminium cam cleat perfect for applications which may have a fast-running control line, such as a spinnaker halyard, mainsheet or jib sheet.

Can be used on keelboats, yachts and dinghies.
