The Ultra-Strap's unique coining process compresses and work-hardens the metal, creating smoother, more rounded edges compared to cut or stamped straps. This eliminates sharp contact points that would otherwise abrade or damage the rope over time. Combined with its generous central aperture, it distributes load evenly along the rope rather than concentrating stress at a single point — making it significantly gentler on lines under repeated load cycles.

Can these blocks be used in a cascade system, and how should the becket be rigged?

Yes — the large central rivet is designed precisely for this use. Simply pass your tie-off line through or around the rivet and secure with a bowline or suitable stopper knot. The rivet's smooth, rounded profile means the rope seats cleanly without chafe, making it an excellent fixed attachment point within a multi-purchase cascade system.

How does the stainless-steel rail bearing compare to plastic-rail systems in terms of load and lifespan?

Plastic rails deform progressively under repeated high loads, causing bearing balls to track unevenly and increasing rolling resistance over time.
