The Antal XT44.2R is the benchmark winch for 36 to 43-foot racing sailboats. Part of the Race series, this model is meticulously optimized to offer maximum weight savings and fluid power transmission during the most demanding maneuvers.
The hard-anodized black aluminum drum is extensively hollowed out to reduce rotational inertia and overall weight. This design allows for more dynamic trimming and increased responsiveness, essential during tight tactical situations.
Featuring two reduced gear ratios, the XT44.2R provides precise load management. The first gear ensures efficient hauling, while the second gear (44:1) provides the necessary force for millimetric adjustments under high wind tension.
The Antal self-tailing system automatically adjusts to modern technical ropes from 8 to 12 mm. The fixed composite stripper arm guarantees smooth line guiding, preventing overrides during fast tacks and jibes.
