The Antal XT52.3RD is a cutting-edge model from the Race series, designed for 45 to 50-foot racing sailboats. Its unique feature is the three-speed configuration, integrating a first direct drive (1:1) for maximum responsiveness during critical maneuvers.
Thanks to the Direct Drive system, this winch allows for instantaneous recovery of slack in sheets or halyards, with a 1:1 ratio. It is the perfect tool for mark roundings and rapid sail changes where every second counts.
Once the load increases, the two reduced gears take over. They provide a smooth transition to the final 52:1 power ratio, allowing for millimetric trimming of large sail areas even under high tension.
The hard-anodized black aluminum drum is hollowed out to reduce peripheral inertia. The auto-adaptive self-tailing system perfectly secures technical ropes from 8 to 14 mm, ensuring flawless line holding.
