The Antal XT66.2R winch represents the peak of performance for 60 to 65-foot sailboats. This Race series model is specifically sized to handle the extreme tensions encountered on large racing machines and high-performance yachts.
Despite its phenomenal power, the XT66.2R features an extensively hollowed-out hard-anodized black aluminum drum. This design reduces rotational inertia, allowing for smoother maneuvers and significant weight savings on deck.
Unlike smaller models, the XT66.2R offers two reduced gear ratios. This configuration is essential to multiply human effort and trim large sail areas (genoas, spinnakers) with millimetric precision thanks to the final 66:1 ratio.
Equipped with high-strength steel and bronze gearing, this winch is built to last. The auto-adaptive self-tailing system accepts technical ropes from 12 to 18 mm, guaranteeing perfect hold even under loads of several tons.
